The Elite Personal Training team is happy to announce it will begin using MYZONE heart rate monitors with training clients at their Old Greenwich location.
MYZONE is a new innovative heart rate based system that uses wireless and cloud technology to accurately and conveniently monitor physical activity. It monitors heart rate, calories and time exercising that converts into MYZONE Effort Points (MEPs), with a focus on rewarding effort rather than fitness.
No matter your goal, the MYZONE system can provide greater motivation and more accountability to help you achieve your desired outcome even quicker.
First, it allows each person to create their own profile that defines heart rate zones that are based on your specific level of fitness. For example, if you’re goal is to beat your best half marathon time by 5 minutes, real-time heart rate monitoring can ensure that you’re training in the right zone during your runs. Or, if you haven’t lost those last stubborn 5-10 pounds— you’re either not working hard enough or you’re way too hard all the time.
Secondly, a dedicated television monitor will be running the MYZONE application. On this screen, you and your Elite Personal Trainer will be able to see exactly what zone you are training in at any given time. If you’re working too hard or not hard enough, your Trainer will be able to slow you down or push you just a bit more. (There is no escaping any more!) Because we’re able to measure your effort, your workouts will be more personalized and that much more effective.
Lastly, who doesn’t love a bit of healthy competition? Using the MYZONE app, you are able to easily compete with yourself, your family, and your friends and advance your fitness in a fun and healthy way.
