Dr. Janaki Amin joined the Elite Health Services team in 2015 as a Functional Manual Therapist treating patients across all three of our locations and in-home. Janaki concentrates in the area of pelvic therapy and women’s health issues, as well as with orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.
She recently presented her research compilation on the “Importance of early mobilization in the ICU” at the 2015 American Physical Therapy Association conference and is currently pursuing the Certification of Functional Manual Therapy credential though the Institute of Physical Arts in Colorado. Janaki holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Genetics and Biology from the University of Georgia, and she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Long Island University’s Brooklyn campus.
Outside of work she enjoys social dancing, medical volunteering at marathons and running sporadic half marathons.
